This lovely, large, vibrant painting is oil on board. It's signed (very large) on the back and is 53 years old. I have given it the title of 'Ladies at Picnic'.

I found this piece in Paris via an art dealer colleague who had recently purchased the entire atelier of this particular artist. This artist had painted his entire life and never parted with his works much to the chagrin of his wife who was more than happy to part with them upon his death. His entire collection included 500 pieces, and this is one of them.

I had the opportunity to view many of his pieces and his love for vibrant colors was evident in each.

This piece is 53 years old and is being sold "as in" simply to convey the wear of its age and there is a half-inch bend in the upper right corner that had been repaired. It's vintage and should be viewed as such. Painting will need a frame or an easel. 

The signature is large across the back of the board in graphite. 

This piece could be framed, placed on a shelf, or hung with a charming clip if you so desired.
