In beautiful shades of green transitioning gracefully into sepia, this large oil on board captures a winding path leading out of a dense forest. Dating from around the 1940s to 1950s, the painting is French and signed in the lower left corner. While it has the character of a student’s work and displays some wear, the rich, subtle coloring truly sets it apart.

This unframed piece can be elegantly displayed on a shelf (as shown in the background) or easily mounted on a wall with 3M Velcro tabs, also pictured in the setup.
